Jehan has spent many years working in both NHS, private and elite sports settings and now specialises in 3 main areas; low back and sciatic pain, hamstring tendon injuries and in hip and groin pain.
After spending 6 years practicing in elite sport, and leading the Sports Medicine Team for GB Kayak to the BEIJING 2008 OLYMPICS, she continued her career in a prestigious Sports Medicine Clinic in London before establishing JY Physiotherapy in 2014.
Jehan’s interest in research and keeping up to date with the current principles for management of injuries, is a high priority. She regularly mentors other physiotherapists and has lectured on a number of physiotherapy courses.
Jehan works closely with Surbiton Hockey Club, she works with the juniors and advises on injury prevention strategies to the club as a whole. Working as a hockey physiotherapist and embedded in the sport allows her to be able to offer expert advise on injury management.
Jehan is highly experienced and will be able to give you an accurate diagnosis followed by a schedule of ‘hands on’ treatment, specifically tailored to your individual needs, as well as a rehab programme to get you back to full fitness. Teaching both 1:1 and classes, Jehan also uses concepts of strength training to design a rehabilitation programme.
